Elite researcher Michael Hartmann: “A good German manager must be tall”

The sociologist's new study is astonishing: Germany has been ruled for 150 years by an elite recruited from the same top four percent.

At first glance, it doesn't sound particularly explosive: "More Continuity than Change – The German Elites from the German Empire to the Present." That's the title of the new study presented by sociologist and elite researcher Michael Hartmann this June. But the results are quite impressive. Hartmann discovered that the German elite has been recruited from the same social circles for an incredible 150 years, despite three political system changes.
